Buhari cannot bring any change, says PDP National Secretary
Prof. Wale Oladipo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Secretary, has said that General Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate will not bring any change to the country if voted president, noting that, President Goodluck Jonathan is the best candidate for Nigeria in 2015 general elections.
Oladipo, who once called Buhari a semi-literate, made the statement during the celebration of his 55th birthday in Ile-Ife, Osun state, on Thursday.
He said that the citizens would want the continuation of Nigeria’s transformation under President Jonathan, saying that PDP would be victorious in the February polls.
According to him, former Head of State, Gen. Mohammadu Buhari (rtd.), APC presidential candidate, a 72 year-old, cannot bring about any change, compared to Jonathan who is a democrat.
The PDP national secretary, who noted that the ceremony was not meant for merry-making alone, said that the campaign for the re-election of Jonathan’s for a second term had begun in earnest.
Oladipo said that Gen. Buhari had ruled this country with iron fist, used decrees at will, while the press was gagged.
He appealed to the people to shine their eyes and cast their votes wisely during the general elections.
Oladipo said that President Jonathan has done well in health, agriculture, education, manufacturing of motor car in Nigeria and other visible projects.
He said the re-election of President Jonathan would benefit all and sundry in terms of people-oriented policies and programmes.
